Penalties for Crimes Under § 7-104
Misdemeanor theft in Maryland [§7-104(g)(3) and [§7-104(g)(2)]:
Less than $100: Up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine
Less than $1,000: Up to 18 months in jail and a $500 fine
Felony theft in Maryland [§7-104(g)(1)]:
At least $1,000 but less than $10,000: Up to 10 years in jail and a $10,000 fine
